Position Overview:
Manage, lead, mentor and direct the Accellion Mobile Testing Team. Responsible for assuring that the Accellion Mobile Apps and other client software applications meet design specifications and 99.999% reliability. Coordinate testing activities with the development team(s), the internal team, the external team, and as necessary work with the offshore development team in Singapore.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the system test processes, procedures and standards for the applications and maintenance releases.
  • Manage the development of system test plans to ensure that testing will effectively address agreed upon test criteria and compliance requirements.
  • Manage system/regression tests performance, and certify production releases. Validate test results based on functional and design specifications and pre-defined testing guidelines.
  • Manage the development and maintenance documentation of system test procedures and test cases
  • Independently examine test results to confirm that proper testing was performed and correct results were obtaine.
  • Ensure a formal report for each system modification documenting the procedures used and results obtained in the testing process.
  • Evaluate the testing processes, resolve discrepancies, and make improvements for effective testing.
  • Review Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and System Design Specifications (SDSs) for completeness and to ensure the requirements are testable.


Qualifications:

  • Experience with QA for mobile applications on iOS for the iPhone and iPad, Android OS for Smartphones and Tablets, and the Blackberry OS for Blackberry Smartphones and devices.
  • Proven experience in leading manual testing including regression, performance and system testing.
  • Extensive experience in the design and implementation of formal QA and testing methodologies and practices in a fast-paced software development company.
  • Preferred experience in defining and building automated software testing tools and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of software testing procedures, principles, tools, and OO concepts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding leadership and management ability in a team environment.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, iterative programming environment


Education/Experience:

  • 5+ years QA/Test experience in a commercial software development environment and full development cycle, and 2+ years of additional experience in QA/Test management is preferred.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent
